The posting

Als HSE Coördinator zorg je ervoor dat veiligheid, gezondheid en milieu op de locatie goed geregeld zijn én steeds verder worden verbeterd. Daarbij draait het niet alleen om regels en procedures. Je bent veel op de werkvloer te vinden, kent de mensen en zoekt samen met hen naar oplossingen die in de praktijk werken. Je spreekt medewerkers aan als dat nodig is, maar luistert vooral naar wat er speelt en waarom bepaalde situaties ontstaan. Juist het maken van die oprechte connectie is waar jij het verschil weet te maken.

Je organiseert en begeleidt veiligheidsrondes, audits, toolboxmeetings en trainingen. Ook stimuleer je medewerkers om onveilige situaties, bijna ongevallen en andere incidenten te melden. Wanneer er iets gebeurt, onderzoek je samen met de betrokkenen wat er is gebeurd en vooral hoe het beter kan. Zie je ergens een risico ontstaan? Dan bespreek je dit met de mensen die ermee werken en zoek je gezamenlijk naar een oplossing die ook echt uitvoerbaar is.

Je bent daarmee een belangrijke gesprekspartner voor zowel medewerkers als leidinggevenden. Je helpt het management bij HSE vraagstukken, maar staat net zo makkelijk naast een medewerker op de werkvloer. Soms betekent dat uitleg geven over een procedure, soms juist luisteren naar een collega die ergens tegenaan loopt. Door op die manier contact te maken, zorg je ervoor dat veiligheid niet iets is wat vanuit HSE wordt opgelegd, maar iets waar mensen zelf onderdeel van worden.

Een belangrijk onderdeel van je werk is het onderhouden en verder verbeteren van het ISO 45001 managementsysteem. Je bewaakt HSE doelstellingen, rapporteert over de voortgang en houdt in de gaten of wet en regelgeving verandert. Tegelijkertijd kijk je steeds hoe het beleid beter kan aansluiten op de dagelijkse praktijk. Want een goede procedure is pas waardevol als mensen er ook daadwerkelijk mee kunnen en willen werken.
