Specialist Ouderengeneeskunde Als specialist ouderengeneeskunde kun je veel betekenen in het leven van kwetsbare ouderen en chronisch zieke patiënten met een complexe zorgvraag. Hoe is jouw visie op ouderengeneeskunde? Heb jij de nodige werkervaring en ben je beschikbaar voor deze functie, dan zoekt Aafje jou! Als Specialist Ouderengeneeskunde beschik je over de specifieke kennis en ervaring die nodig is om alle patiënten de beste behandeling te bieden. Je biedt integrale medische zorg aan kwetsbare ouderen en chronisch zieken met complexe aandoeningen. Veel van hen hebben namelijk meerdere aandoeningen tegelijk en krijgen verschillende soorten medicatie. Als Specialist Ouderengeneeskunde moet je precies weten wat de gevolgen hiervan zijn en welke risico's de patiënten lopen. De focus ligt zowel op de geestelijke gezondheidszorg als op de lichamelijke, bijvoorbeeld zorg voor patiënten met dementie. In deze functie: - Houd je je kennis continu op peil - Werk je zelfstandig, maar ook graag samen - Moet je sociaal vaardig en een verbinder zijn - Staat respect voor je cliënten en hun wensen centraal - Je bent onder meer eindverantwoordelijk voor het zorgplan van cliënten. De invulling daarvan hangt o.a. af van de behandelaar en de intensieve samenwerking die je daarmee hebt. Je bent in deze rol een vaardige verbinder en een echte regelaar die cliënten moeiteloos doorverwijst naar de juiste personen voor verdere behandeling. Jij bent degene die daadkrachtig besluiten neemt en de zorg coördineert. Voor de specialist in de ouderenzorg is het bovendien altijd belangrijk de kennis op peil te houden. Daarom is er ook nascholing voor een specialist ouderengeneeskunde beschikbaar. Zo blijf je op de hoogte van de nieuwste technieken en ontwikkelingen.
