De intensive care (IC) van het Jeroen Bosch Ziekenhuis heeft een capaciteit van 20 (beademings)bedden, verdeeld over twee units. We zijn continue in beweging en lopen voorop met de laatste ontwikkelingen op het gebied van Intensive Care, wetenschappelijk onderzoek, niervervangende therapieën en de nieuwste apparatuur op het gebied van circulatie en beademing. We streven op onze state-of-the-art IC-afdeling naar hoogwaardige en kwalitatief goede patiëntenzorg. Het is een dynamische afdeling waar geen dag hetzelfde is. Twee zorgverleners zijn druk bezig met een patiënt Als verpleegkundige op de IC werk je nauw samen met de intensivisten, arts assistenten, collega verpleegkundigen (io), physician assistent en alle overige disciplines die werkzaam zijn op de afdeling. Je verleent specialistische zorg en bewaakt de vitale functies van de ernstig zieke patiënten. Je begeleidt de familie en naasten van de patiënt. Je maakt onderdeel uit van het Spoed Interventie Team en levert een actieve bijdrage aan werkgroepen. Leren op de IC Wij bieden een uitdagende opleiding in een prettig team. Onze opleidingscoördinator begeleidt het leerproces. Je krijgt een leerprocesbegeleider en werkbegeleiders toegewezen en werkt op beide teams van de IC. Hierdoor maak je kennis met alle leden van het team. Je werkt altijd samen met een gediplomeerd IC-verpleegkundige. De opleiding tot IC-verpleegkundige is niet voor iedereen weggelegd.
