In het kort: Je gaat performanceproblemen van Windows-fatclients via Citrix analyseren, bottlenecks identificeren, gerichte optimalisaties uitvoeren, testen en documenteren, en adviseren over verdere verbeteringen binnen de bestaande architectuur. Ons levert bedrijfsvoeringsoplossingen aan overheden in de regio Zwolle, zodat deze organisaties zich kunnen focussen op een goede dienstverlening richting de samenleving. Dit doet Ons op het gebied van ICT, HR en Inkoop & Contractmanagement. Achtergrond Binnen onze omgeving werkt een partner met Windows-fatclients waarop specifieke bedrijfssoftware op gebied van CAD/GIS is geïnstalleerd. Deze fatclients vallen niet onder ons reguliere beheer en bevinden zich momenteel binnen het interne netwerk. In de huidige situatie functioneren de werkplekken en de specifieke software naar behoren. Vanwege verbouwingen en een tijdelijk tekort aan fysieke werkplekken zullen medewerkers (deels) vanuit huis gaan werken. Om de bestaande fatclients en daarop geïnstalleerde software op afstand beschikbaar te maken, worden de fatclients via Citrix overgenomen. Technisch functioneert deze oplossing, maar bij gebruik op afstand via Citrix ontstaan performanceproblemen. Hierdoor is de gebruikerservaring onvoldoende voor regulier dagelijks gebruik. Beschrijving opdracht Wij zoeken een specialist die de performanceproblematiek van deze oplossing technisch kan analyseren en, waar mogelijk, gericht kan optimaliseren. De centrale vraag is: Welke factoren veroorzaken de performanceproblemen bij het op afstand gebruiken van de Windows-fatclients via Citrix, en welke gerichte optimalisaties kunnen binnen de bestaande architectuur worden uitgevoerd om de gebruikerservaring naar een werkbaar niveau te brengen? De opdracht bestaat uit: - analyseren en objectief meten van de huidige performance en gebruikerservaring; - identificeren van bottlenecks en de onderliggende oorzaken; - bepalen in welke laag de bottlenecks ontstaan, bijvoorbeeld client, Citrix,.
