Een brandweerwagen bouwen? Dat is nét iets anders dan een gewone montagejob.

Je werkt in het atelier aan voertuigen die later ingezet worden wanneer het écht nodig is. Geen dag hetzelfde dus: vandaag werk je aan de inrichting van een autopomp, morgen duik je misschien in een andere wagen met een volledig andere opbouw. Met jouw technisch inzicht, handigheid en gevoel voor detail maak je van een leeg voertuig een doordachte interventiewagen.

Wat ga je doen? In het atelier van onze klant krijg je een voertuig stap voor stap vorm. Je monteert, past aan en zorgt ervoor dat elke centimeter zijn nut heeft

  • Monteren en installeren van brandweeruitrusting in verschillende voertuigen
  • Plaatsen en op maat maken van opbergoplossingen voor materiaal en gereedschap
  • Mechanische onderdelen bevestigen en waar nodig aanpassen
  • Afstemmen met collega's uit het atelier en andere technische afdelingen
  • Problemen signaleren en meedenken over een betere oplossing

Waar ga je werken? Onze klant is een gevestigde speler in de wereld van interventievoertuigen en brandweermaterieel. Al sinds 1970 bouwt het familiebedrijf voertuigen voor onder meer brandweer, civiele bescherming en industriële hulpdiensten. Vandaag gebeurt de constructie en inrichting in eigen moderne ateliers in Harelbeke.

Het werk is er bovendien behoorlijk veelzijdig: van multifunctionele autopompen en tankwagens tot bosbrandvoertuigen, duikerswagens, snelle hulpwagens en speciale voertuigen voor industriële brandbestrijding. Ook de inrichting gebeurt op maat, met aandacht voor een slimme benutting van de beschikbare ruimte.

Met een team van een 30-tal betrokken medewerkers werk je in een omgeving waar vakkennis van generatie op generatie wordt doorgegeven. Je hoeft geen geboren brandweerexpert te zijn. Onze klant staat open voor technische profielen met een verschillende achtergrond. Ervaring met montage of inrichting is mooi meegenomen, maar ook iemand uit bijvoorbeeld houtbewerking kan hier perfect zijn technische bagage inzetten.
