Als inspecteur chemische stoffen bij de Inspectie Leefomgeving en Transport (ILT) controleer je of bedrijven zich houden aan wet- en regelgeving en grijp je in als dat nodig is. Ben je klaar om met jouw kennis en oordeel het verschil te maken? Als inspecteur chemische stoffen houd je toezicht op de productie, import en het gebruik van chemische stoffen. Je controleert of bedrijven voldoen aan Europese regelgeving, zoals REACH en CLP. Daarmee help je mens en milieu te beschermen tegen de gevaren van chemische stoffen. Je bezoekt bedrijven door heel Nederland en onderzoekt of zij chemische stoffen produceren, importeren of in gebruik hebben. Je kijkt bijvoorbeeld naar veiligheidsinformatiebladen, gevarenetikettering en de aanwezigheid van verboden stoffen. Ook controleer je of producenten de risico's van hun producten goed hebben beoordeeld en hun afnemers van de juiste informatie voorzien. Dan stel je kritische vragen en treed je zelf op. Je neemt passende handhavingsmaatregelen, zoals een last onder dwangsom. Daarbij maak je zelfstandig afwegingen en neem je besluiten. Het toezicht richt zich vooral op situaties waar de risico's het grootst zijn en waar je maatschappelijk het meeste effect kunt bereiken. Je werkt binnen Team Chemische Risico's van de afdeling Toezicht Risicovolle Stoffen. Je collega's wonen verspreid door het land. Daarom werk je deels vanuit huis en deels vanuit kantoor. Iedere maandag en wanneer nodig op andere dagen ontmoet je jouw collega's op het centrale kantoor in Utrech...
