Bouw mee aan wat straks de lucht in gaat Voordat een nieuw vliegtuigontwerp de lucht in gaat, zijn er jaren aan ontwikkelingen en certificeringen gedaan. Bij Koninklijke NLR dragen we hier aan bij door o.a. testen te doen in onze faciliteiten. We testen nieuwe vliegtuigontwerpen, innovatieve configuraties en technologieën voor klanten uit de internationale lucht- en ruimtevaart. En daarvoor moeten we extreem nauwkeurig kunnen werken en meten. Als instrumentmaker maak en instrumenteer jij de krachtsensoren - balansen - waarmee we tijdens windtunneltesten exact meten welke krachten en momenten op een model werken. Geen seriewerk. Geen dag hetzelfde. Wel unieke techniek die je op weinig andere plekken tegenkomt. Wat ga je maken? Je werkt aan unieke krachtsensoren en instrumentatie voor onze windtunnelmodellen. Vaak zijn de onderdelen zo klein dat het werken met microscoop de enige optie is. Een andere keer bouw, test of kalibreer je een compleet meetsysteem. Je houdt je onder andere bezig met: • aanbrengen en testen van rekstroken en sensoren; • fijn soldeerwerk en bedrading onder een microscoop; • verlijmen, coaten, monteren en afwerken van de instrumentatie; • samenbouwen, testen en kalibreren van krachtsensoren; • analyseren en oplossen van technische afwijkingen. Je krijgt veel vrijheid om vanuit jouw vakkennis te bepalen hoe je iets maakt. Daarbij werk je direct samen met constructeurs en engineers.
