JOUW UITDAGINGEN Als International Financial Controller ben je een belangrijke schakel tussen het HQ Finance Team en de accounting teams in onze internationale vestigingen. Je bent verantwoordelijk voor de financiële opvolging en kwaliteitsbewaking van de afsluiting en rapportering van verschillende landen binnen de groep en draagt bij aan een tijdige, correcte en uniforme financiële BE GAAP rapportering en consolidatie.

Daarnaast ondersteun je internationale projecten binnen de groep, zoals de oprichting, integratie, reorganisatie of sluiting van vennootschappen. Je fungeert als aanspreekpunt voor de lokale finance teams en ondersteunt hen bij consolidatie- en rapporteringsprocessen.

Wat betekent dit concreet?

Financiële rapportering & controlling

  • Opvolgen en analyseren van de maand-, kwartaal- en jaarafsluitingen van de buitenlandse filialen
  • Bewaken van de kwaliteit, volledigheid en tijdigheid van de rapportering aan HQ
  • Fungeren als financieel aanspreekpunt voor de lokale finance teams
  • Toezien op de naleving van groepsrichtlijnen, interne controles en accounting policies
  • Uitvoeren van periodieke balance sheet reviews om de kwaliteit en juistheid van de balansposities te waarborgen
  • Challengen van lokale finance teams over de onderbouwing van significante balansrekeningen, voorzieningen, intercompanyposities en werkkapitaalposten
  • Identificeren en opvolgen van accounting- en rapporteringsrisico's door middel van balansanalyses
  • Bewaken van de tijdige afstemming van balansrekeningen en opvolgen van openstaande reconciliatieverschillen

Consolidatie & groepsrapportering

  • Maandelijkse consolidatie en opvolgen van het consolidatieproces
  • Coördineren van de maandelijkse intercompanyreconciliaties en opvolgen van openstaande verschillen
  • Begeleiden en trainen van lokale finance teams inzake groepsrapportering, intercompanyprocessen en consolidatievereisten
  • Oplossen van consolidatievraagstukken en zorgen voor een uniforme toepassing van accountingrichtlijnen

Audit & compliance

  • Coördineren, opvolgen en bijsturen van externe auditwerkzaamheden bij de buitenlandse filialen
  • Fungeren als contactpersoon tussen lokale entiteiten, de groepsauditor en het HQ Finance Team
  • Ondersteunen bij statutaire verplichtingen en compliance-gerelateerde projecten

Special Projects

  • Begeleiden van internationale projecten zoals oprichting van nieuwe vennootschappen, liquidaties en sluitingen van vennootschappen, post-mergerintegraties, reorganisaties en juridische herstructureringen, implementatie van nieuwe financiële processen en systemen
  • Samenwerken met externe adviseurs, accountants en juridische partners
  • Masterdiploma in Toegepaste Economische Wetenschappen, Handelsingenieur, Handelswetenschappen, Accountancy-Fiscaliteit of gelijkwaardig door ervaring
  • Minstens 5 jaar relevante ervaring binnen controlling, accounting of corporate finance
  • Bij voorkeur minstens 3 jaar ervaring binnen een auditomgeving (Big 4 of vergelijkbaar)
  • Sterke kennis van consolidatieprincipes en internationale financiële rapportering
  • Analytisch sterk en in staat financiële informatie kritisch te beoordelen
  • Uitstekende communicatieve vaardigheden en het vermogen om relaties op te bouwen met internationale stakeholders
  • Proactief, zelfstandig en resultaatgericht
  • Zeer goede kennis van Nederlands en Engels
