Het Maasstad Ziekenhuis is stevig verankerd in Rijnmond Zuid en heeft een diverse patiëntenpopulatie. De cultuur is te kenmerken als 'Rotterdams': handen uit de mouwen en directe communicatie. Het Maasstad Ziekenhuis is lid van de vereniging Samenwerkende Topklinische Opleidings- Ziekenhuizen (STZ) en heeft de Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditatie behaald, waarbinnen kwaliteit en veiligheid voorop staan. Het ziekenhuis is aangesloten bij de Santeon Groep. Als internist verricht je werkzaamheden in de kliniek of polikliniek en Spoedeisende Hulp van het Maasstad Ziekenhuis of op onze locatie in het Spijkenisse Medisch Centrum. We zijn specifiek op zoek naar een enthousiaste Internist-endocrinoloog. We hebben een diverse polikliniek endocrinologie, waarbij we alle aspecten van de endocrinologie zien, met twee STZ-topklinische functie op het gebied van schildklierziekten en op het gebied van calciumstoornissen. Daarnaast hebben we een grote polikliniek gericht op transgenderzorg en diabetes mellitus. Er is een goede regionale samenwerking en er wordt veel aan onderzoek gedaan. We leveren een belangrijke bijdrage aan opleiding. De vakgroep Interne Geneeskunde De zorgeenheid Interne geneeskunde van het Maasstad Ziekenhuis heeft meerdere verpleegafdelingen, een grote polikliniek, een (oncologische) dagbehandeling, een scopiecentrum en een hemodialyse-afdeling.
