Als IT Engineer combineer je een brede IT-kennis met een sterke focus op digitale beveiliging. Samen met de CISO en de systeembeheerders zorg je ervoor dat de IT-omgeving veilig, betrouwbaar en toekomstgericht blijft.

Concreet bestaat de functie uit:

  • Mee uitwerken en implementeren van beveiligingsmaatregelen binnen de IT-omgeving.
  • Nieuwe cyberdreigingen en securitytechnologieën opvolgen en vertalen naar concrete acties.
  • Toezien op de correcte toepassing van beveiligingsrichtlijnen en policies.
  • Ondersteuning bieden bij dagelijkse IT-operations en veilige configuraties.
  • Security-incidenten onderzoeken, opvolgen en correct behandelen.
  • Risicoanalyses uitvoeren bij de implementatie van nieuwe hardware en software.
  • Adviseren over een veilige integratie van nieuwe toepassingen binnen de bestaande infrastructuur.
  • Meewerken aan NIS2 en andere security- en compliancevereisten.
  • Security awareness binnen de organisatie mee verhogen.
  • Nauw samenwerken met IT-support, systeembeheer en de CISO.

Bij de start ligt een deel van de focus op IT-support. Zo krijg je de kans om de organisatie, infrastructuur, systemen en interne processen goed te leren kennen. Naarmate die kennis groeit, verschuift de functie steeds meer richting cybersecurity.

Omdat een nauwe samenwerking met de interne IT-teams belangrijk is, wordt deze functie voornamelijk op kantoor in regio Merelbeke uitgevoerd.

Voor deze functie zoeken we iemand met een stevige technische IT-basis en een duidelijke interesse in cybersecurity.

  • Bachelor- of masterdiploma in informatica, cybersecurity of gelijkwaardig door ervaring.
  • Ervaring met IT-support, systeembeheer of infrastructuurbeheer.
  • Goede kennis van netwerken, waaronder firewalls, routing, subnetting, VLAN’s en netwerksegmentatie.
  • Vertrouwd met identity & access management en cloudomgevingen.
  • Kennis van Microsoft 365 en Entra ID is een sterke troef.
  • Inzicht in moderne securityprincipes zoals zero trust, least privilege en identity-first security.
  • Ervaring met endpoint-, e-mail- en cloudbeveiliging.
  • Kennis van EDR/XDR-platformen, loganalyse en incidentonderzoek.
  • Analytisch sterk en in staat om technische problemen gestructureerd aan te pakken.
  • Vlotte communicatie in het Nederlands en Engels.
  • Zelfstandig kunnen werken, maar tegelijk graag samenwerken met collega’s.

Ervaring met NIS2, ISO-normen, CIS Controls, SOC-processen of threat hunting is mooi meegenomen. Ook securitycertificeringen zoals CompTIA Security+ of SSCP vormen een pluspunt.
