Wil jij het verschil maken voor jongeren in Grimbergen? Als jongerenwerker bij Buurthuis ’t Motje werk je met kwetsbare jongeren tussen 11 en 18 jaar en ben je zichtbaar aanwezig in de wijk. Je bouwt vertrouwen op, biedt een luisterend oor en verbind jongeren, bewoners en partners om samen te bouwen aan een warme, veilige en leefbare buurt. Met jouw engagement draag je bij aan een samenleving waarin iedereen kansen krijgt om mee te doen.

Jouw takenpakket

  • Je werkt outreachend en verbindend met jongeren uit Grimbergen. Je bouwt vertrouwen op en vertrekt vanuit hun leefwereld.
  • Je organiseert wekelijks 3 laagdrempelige activiteiten voor en met jongeren die minder makkelijk hun weg vinden naar het reguliere jeugdwerk. Samen creëer je kansen om te groeien, nieuwe ervaringen op te doen en verantwoordelijkheid op te nemen.
  • Je stimuleert jongeren om hun stem te laten horen, deel te nemen aan lokale initiatieven en hun talenten verder te ontwikkelen.
  • Je bouwt bruggen naar regulier jeugdwerk, hulpverlening, onderwijs, vrije tijd en arbeid. Je werkt hiervoor samen met bewoners, verenigingen, gemeentelijke diensten en andere partners.
  • Je werkt nauw samen met vrijwilligers en collega's. Je maakt deel uit van een subteam in Strombeek met twee andere buurtwerkers, waarbij iedereen een eigen werking uitbouwt en tegelijk op elkaar kan terugvallen. Daarnaast stem je regelmatig af met collega's die andere jongerenprojecten begeleiden.
  • Je kent Grimbergen goed of bent bereid de gemeente, haar buurten en jongeren snel te leren kennen.
  • Je leeft je gemakkelijk in in de leefwereld van jongeren en coacht hen op een positieve en oplossingsgerichte manier.
  • Je bent een sterke netwerker en bouwt vlot relaties op met jongeren, vrijwilligers, buurtbewoners, organisaties en lokale partners.
  • Je voelt je sterk in het werken met groepen en weet jongeren en vrijwilligers te motiveren en te verbinden.
  • Je communiceert open en professioneel. Je spreekt vlot Nederlands; kennis van Frans is een pluspunt.
  • Je werkt zelfstandig, neemt eigenaarschap over je project en plant je agenda efficiënt. Je bent flexibel naar jobinhoud en werkuren, waaronder af en toe avond- of weekendwerk.

Jouw uitvalsbasis is de vestiging van Groep INTRO in Vilvoorde, maar je werkt voornamelijk in het buurthuis ’t Motje in Grimbergen. Je kan je vlot verplaatsen in regio Grimbergen.
