The posting

We zoeken een Junior Claims Handler voor een gevestigde, onafhankelijke logistieke dienstverlener met meerdere vestigingen in de Benelux. Dit is een startersfunctie in transportschadebeheer, waarin je stap voor stap wordt opgeleid door ervaren collega's. Je behandelt schadeclaims in het internationaal wegtransport van begin tot eind. Je dagelijkse taken bestaan uit het openen van nieuwe schadedossiers, het verzamelen en controleren van documenten zoals CMR-vrachtbrieven, facturen en schadebewijzen, en het onderzoeken van de oorzaak van de schade en de mogelijke aansprakelijkheid. Je toetst elk dossier aan de CMR-regelgeving, de verzekeringsvoorwaarden en de Incoterms. Je onderhoudt contact met klanten, verzekeraars en experten, volgt claims actief op tot ze zijn afgehandeld en documenteert alles nauwkeurig. In nauwe samenwerking met de claims advisor ontwikkel je geleidelijk de vaardigheden om dossiers zelfstandig te beheren en lever je een waardevolle bijdrage aan de afhandeling van claims.

Belangrijkste verantwoordelijkheden

  • Nieuwe schadedossiers openen en opstarten voor incidenten in het internationaal wegtransport
  • Alle relevante documentatie verzamelen, ordenen en controleren, waaronder CMR-vrachtbrieven, facturen, leveringsbonnen en schadebewijzen
  • De oorzaak en omstandigheden van de schade onderzoeken en de mogelijke aansprakelijkheid inschatten
  • CMR-regelgeving, polisvoorwaarden en Incoterms toepassen op elk dossier
  • Communiceren met klanten, verzekeringsmaatschappijen en experten om informatie te verzamelen en details van de claim te verduidelijken
  • De voortgang van claims opvolgen en zorgen voor een tijdige afhandeling
  • Alle handelingen en correspondentie binnen een dossier nauwkeurig en volledig documenteren
  • Samenwerken met de claims advisor om expertise op te bouwen en door te groeien naar zelfstandig dossierbeheer

Kandidaatprofiel We zoeken kandidaten met een sterke opleidingsachtergrond, een scherp oog voor detail en een oprechte interesse in verzekeringen en schadebeheer. Je bent georganiseerd, werkt gestructureerd en kan meerdere dossiers tegelijk opvolgen zonder aan nauwkeurigheid in te boeten. Duidelijke communicatie en het vermogen om professionele relaties op te bouwen met interne en externe partijen zijn essentieel. Je bent betrouwbaar, vraagt zelf proactief om verduidelijking en wil je blijven ontwikkelen in een gespecialiseerd vakgebied.

Vereiste ervaring en kennis

  • Diploma op graduaat, bachelor of masterniveau (de studierichting mag breed zijn: verzekeringen, logistiek of een verwante richting)
  • Geen ervaring in schadebeheer vereist, wel de bereidheid om te leren en expertise op te bouwen
  • Vlot Nederlands; kennis van Frans en Engels is een pluspunt
  • Vertrouwd met, of bereid om je te verdiepen in, de CMR-regelgeving, verzekeringsprincipes en internationale handelstermen
