De organisatie

Je komt te werken bij een gespecialiseerde machinebouwer die wereldwijd laadarmen en installaties ontwikkelt voor het veilig en efficiënt overpompen van vloeistoffen tussen schip, tank en terminal.

Alles draait hier om maatwerk en kwaliteit. Elke laadarm wordt specifiek ontworpen voor de situatie van de klant, waardoor geen project hetzelfde is. De systemen moeten betrouwbaar, veilig en duurzaam zijn en gaan vaak tientallen jaren mee.

Je werkt in een team van ongeveer 10 engineers binnen een nuchter familiebedrijf. De lijnen zijn kort, de sfeer is informeel en iedereen helpt elkaar. Van eerste klantvraag tot productie in de eigen werkplaats: alles gebeurt in eigen huis, waardoor je jouw ontwerpen ook echt tot leven ziet komen.

De functie

Dit ga je doen

Als Junior Mechanical Engineer werk je aan het ontwerpen en uitwerken van complexe installaties binnen de scheepvaart, zoals laadarmen. Hierbij houd je rekening met krachten, belastingen, de omgeving en de veiligheid en betrouwbaarheid van de constructie.

Je werkt aan meerdere projecten tegelijk, waarbij geen ontwerp hetzelfde is en je continu wordt uitgedaagd om slimme technische oplossingen te bedenken.

Wat ga je doen:

- 3D modelleren en ontwerpen in Inventor

- Constructies doorrekenen op sterkte en stabiliteit

- Ontwerpen uitwerken tot productietekeningen

- Meedenken vanaf de klantvraag: wat is technisch mogelijk?

- Schakelen met engineers en productie

- Jouw ontwerp begeleiden tot realisatie in de werkplaats

Je ziet jouw ontwerp dus niet alleen op je scherm, maar ook daadwerkelijk gebouwd worden.
