We maken ons sterk voor het herstel van de biodiversiteit, overal in het land. Sinds onze oprichting in 1905 zijn we als vereniging eigenaar en beheerder van natuurgebieden en cultureel erfgoed. Samen met natuurliefhebbers, met onze 977.000 leden, donateurs en vrijwilligers, geven we de natuur een luide en duidelijke stem en zorgen we voor een natuurrijker Nederland. De afdeling Public Affairs als jouw werkomgeving De afdeling Public Affairs behartigt de belangen van Natuurmonumenten in de politiek, de media en onder maatschappelijke stakeholders. Het voor Natuurmonumenten relevante beleid bestrijkt een breed veld, van natuurbeleid, waterkwaliteit, landbouwbeleid tot ruimtelijke ordening. Op provinciaal, nationaal en internationaal niveau. De afdeling definieert kansen en bedreigingen voor natuur en landschap en beïnvloedt die op eigentijdse, slagvaardige en effectieve wijze. Vakgebieden als persvoorlichting, issuemanagement en reputatiemanagement maken onderdeel uit van de afdeling. Het lobbywerk in Brussel (met name via onze Europese koepel) en in Den Haag behoort tot de kern van de werkzaamheden. Naast het team (Inter-)nationale Lobby bestaat de afdeling Public Affairs uit een team Pers & Media en een cluster van zeven provinciale bestuurlijke vertegenwoordigers. Dit geheel wordt aangestuurd door de Manager Public Affairs. Als Junior Medewerker Public Affairs werk je binnen dit geheel, vanuit ons centrale kantoor in Amersfoort. Omdat de Haagse lobby de kern van je functie uitmaakt, ben je ook vaak in Den Haag te vinden, soms in Brussel en uiteraard ook in onze natuurgebieden.
