Junior Monitoring Engineer - Hallo - Schiedam - Schiedam - 1 week geleden geplaatst Hallo Jobid=637033207102050223 (0.0496) Bij bijna 15.000 klanten draaien back-ups, netwerken en systemen die we goed willen bewaken. Maar draaien is niet hetzelfde als goed blijven werken. Daarom bouwen we ons centrale monitoringsteam verder uit. Als Junior Monitoring Engineer zorg jij ervoor dat back-up- en monitoringsomgevingen doen wat ze moeten doen en dat afspraken met klanten ook daadwerkelijk worden nagekomen. Je controleert of back-ups correct zijn ingericht, signaleert afwijkingen en maakt deze zichtbaar. Staat er bijvoorbeeld een nieuwe server die nog niet wordt meegenomen in de back-up? Dan trek jij aan de bel. Ook help je bij het opstellen van heldere overzichten, zodat klanten precies weten wat wel en niet binnen hun back-upomgeving valt. Zodra je de back-upmonitoring goed in de vingers hebt, breid je jouw werkzaamheden uit naar netwerkmonitoring. Je houdt switches, firewalls, access points en verbindingen in de gaten en signaleert bijvoorbeeld wanneer een certificaat verloopt, een verbinding volloopt of firmware achterloopt. Je staat er niet alleen voor. Een ervaren collega neemt je stap voor stap mee in de omgevingen, klanten en processen. Zo krijg je alle ruimte om te leren, verantwoordelijkheid te pakken en jezelf verder te ontwikkelen. Wat ga je doen? Problemen pak je zoveel mogelijk zelf op met behulp van runbooks, je kennis en gezond verstand. Kom je er niet uit, dan spar je met het monitoringsteam. Blijft een issue bestaan, dan draag je het over aan de juiste HUB of engineer, inclusief een duidelijke analyse van wat je hebt gezien en geprobeerd. Daarbij blijf je het incident volgen tot het is opgelost. - Je start je dag met het controleren van back-ups en monitoringsmeldingen en bepaalt direct waar actie nodig is - Je lost veelvoorkomende issues zelfstandig op, zoals mislukte jobs, problemen met agents of ontbrekende sys...
