Junior OT Infrastructure Engineer - VMware & Windows Locatie(s): Geertruidenberg, Noord Brabant, NL, 4931 NC RWE Generation NL Zo snel mogelijk starten, full time / part time, Bepaalde tijd Wil jij als junior engineer groeien in virtualisatie, serverbeheer en OT-security? Binnen onze OT-omgeving zoeken we een junior collega die samen met ervaren engineers meewerkt aan het beheer, de modernisering en beveiliging van onze VMware- en Windows-omgeving. Je ondersteunt bij de upgrade van Windows Server 2016 naar Windows Server 2025 en bij de migratie van VMware 7 naar VMware 8, met voorbereiding op toekomstige versies. Daarbij leer je hoe je wijzigingen zorgvuldig voorbereidt, test en uitvoert in een omgeving waar beschikbaarheid, betrouwbaarheid en veiligheid belangrijk zijn. Over de functie - Je helpt bij het inventariseren van de huidige VMware- en Windows Server-omgeving. - Je ondersteunt bij upgrades, migraties, testplannen, changevoorbereiding en rollbackscenario's. - Je werkt mee aan security hardening op basis van relevante CIS-baselines. - Je helpt aantoonbaar maken dat systemen veilig zijn ingericht, bijvoorbeeld met configuratiechecks, vulnerability scans, patchvalidatie en compliance-rapportages. - Je ondersteunt bij het opzetten van een veilige Windows 11 OT-laptopomgeving, inclusief image, security-instellingen, gebruikersrechten, logging en endpoint protection. - Je legt je werkzaamheden duidelijk vast in documentatie, werkinstructies en beheerafspraken. Functie-eisen en ervaring - Je hebt een mbo+, hbo- of vergelijkbare achtergrond in IT, infrastructuur, systeembeheer, cybersecurity of een technische richting. - Je hebt interesse in VMware, Windows Server, Windows 11, virtualisatie, OT-infrastructuur en security. - Je vindt het leuk om praktisch mee te werken aan upgrades, beheer, troubleshooting en beveiliging. - Je werkt nauwkeurig, stelt vragen en wilt leren hoe je systemen veilig en betrouwbaar beheert. - Ervar...
