Wir suchen nach erfolgter Personalvorauswahl durch das AMS Villach: 1 Junior ResearcherIn (KI und Naturschutz) (m/w/d) Der UNESCO-Lehrstuhl für Management von Schutzgebieten (MCA), eingerichtet 2020, trägt zum globalen Netzwerk der UNESCO-Lehrstühle bei, indem er das Konzept "Naturschutz im 21. Jahrhundert" vorantreibt. Wir arbeiten eng mit Schutzgebieten - insbesondere UNESCO-ausgewiesenen Stätten - auf nationaler und internationaler Ebene zusammen. Der UNESCO Lehrstuhl ist Teil des Forschungszentrums ICEB (Interdisziplinary Center for Ecosystem Services and Biodiversity, https://forschung.fh-kaernten.at/)

Position

Wir suchen eine/n Junior Researcher (KI und Naturschutz), der/die die Integration von KI-Technologien in die Biodiversitätsforschung und den Naturschutz vorantreibt. Ein Schwerpunkt liegt auf der Analyse gesellschaftlicher Implikationen von Naturschutz und Schutzgebieten mittels sozialwissenschaftlicher, humangeografischer und transdisziplinärer Ansätze. Sie arbeiten an unserem bestehenden Projektportfolio, entwickeln dieses weiter und kooperieren mit Partnern in verschiedenen Schutzgebieten.

Aufgaben

· Aktive Forschungstätigkeit (Datenanalyse, Laboranalysen, Umsetzung von Forschungsprojekten, Akquise von Kooperationspartnern)

· Entwicklung und Validierung neuartiger KI-Tools in unterschiedlichen Projektkontexten

· Integration heterogener Daten aus unterschiedlichen Quellen

· Ergebnispräsentation und Verfassen von Publikationen

· (Ko-)Entwicklung neuer anwendungsorientierter Forschungsprojekte mit unseren Partnern

Ihr Profil

· KI Expert/in, insbesondere im Bereich von Mustererkennung sowie Verarbeitung von Sensorik-, Sprach-, Bild- und Biosignalen

· Theoretische und praktische Erfahrungen in Datenanalyse

· Sicher im Umgang mit Python, SQL und statistischen Verfahren

· Englisch und Deutsch in Wort und Schrift, weitere Sprachen von Vorteil

· Erfahrungen im Bereich Projektmanagement und transkultureller Zusammenarbeit erwünscht
