Je werkt aan projecten zoals rioolvervangingen, herinrichtingen van woonstraten, verkeersveilige kruispunten en pleinen die beter bestand zijn tegen zware regenbuien. Jouw tekeningen worden niet gemaakt voor een archief. Werkvoorbereiders gebruiken ze om materialen en werkzaamheden te bepalen, uitvoerders nemen ze mee naar buiten en opdrachtgevers beoordelen aan de hand van jouw informatie of een ontwerp voldoet aan de gemaakte afspraken. Daardoor zie je direct waarom nauwkeurigheid belangrijk is. Je wordt begeleid door ervaren civieltechnische ontwerpers, maar krijgt vanaf het begin eigen verantwoordelijkheden. Met een salaris tussen €3.000 en €3.900 bruto per maand, een uitgebreid softwareprogramma en voorwaarden volgens de cao Bouw & Infra kun je jezelf ontwikkelen tot een ontwerper die ook de praktijk achter de tekening begrijpt.
