Je werkt samen met vergunningverleners, toezichthouders en andere juristen. De uitvoering van juridische procedures op het gebied van handhaving is jouw verantwoordelijkheid. Je ondersteunt vergunningverleners en bent daarna zelf verantwoordelijk voor de bezwaar- en beroepsprocedures die mogelijk volgen. Je vertegenwoordigt de gemeente o.a. bij de bezwaarschriftencommissie, de rechtbank en de Raad van State. Je bent voor de organisatie een aanspreekpunt en vraagbaak als het gaat om de toepassing van wet- en regelgeving op het gebied van het omgevingsrecht. Almelo, daar doe je het voor! Daarin verschuift onze rol: we gaan minder werken vanuit 'de regie bij de gemeente' en meer overlaten aan de stad. Dat vraagt van onze medewerkers dat ze vaker achter hun bureau vandaan komen, de verbinding zoeken, luisteren en de juiste rol kiezen. We gaan van binnen naar buiten, van 'Nee, tenzij' naar 'Ja, mits'. Als gemeente denken we graag mee met inwoners en ondernemers. Daarom proberen we minder in regels te denken en meer in oplossingen.
