Dan is de functie van Jurist Omgevingsrecht bij de gemeente Heerlen iets voor jou. Reageer uiterlijk 15 oktober 2026! Wie ben jij? Je bent juridisch sterk, praktisch ingesteld en weet complexe regels helder uit te leggen aan collega's, inwoners en bedrijven. Je werkt graag samen, houdt overzicht en schakelt gemakkelijk tussen beleid, uitvoering en juridische procedures. Daarnaast breng je mee: - een afgeronde hbo- of wo-opleiding Rechten, bij voorkeur met specialisatie bestuursrecht; - bij voorkeur werkervaring in een vergelijkbare functie; - affiniteit met bouw, ruimtelijke ordening, wonen, milieu en toezicht en handhaving; - sterke communicatieve vaardigheden; - goede ICT-vaardigheden. Wat ga je doen? Als jurist omgevingsrecht adviseer je bouw- en milieutoezichthouders bij de voorbereiding, uitvoering en afhandeling van toezichtcontroles. Samen met toezichthouders en adviseurs behandel je klachten en verzoeken om handhaving. Je bereidt bestuursrechtelijke handhavingstrajecten voor, zoals lasten onder dwangsom en bestuursdwang. Ook werk je samen met collega's van Juridische Zaken aan bezwaar- en beroepsprocedures naar aanleiding van handhavingsbesluiten. Bij complexe casussen overleg je met collega-juristen, beleidsmedewerkers en andere specialisten. Samen met de andere juristen ben je een belangrijk aanspreekpunt voor collega's bij handhavingsvraagstukken. Omdat deze vraagstukken vaak ingewikkeld zijn, weet jij ze duidelijk en begrijpelijk te vertalen naar inwoners, bedrijven en bestuur.
