Jouw verantwoordelijkheden

Voor een gekend havenbedrijf aan de Gentse Zeehaven zijn we op zoek naar een kaaibediende.

Je neemt de verantwoordelijkheid (in teamverband) over het operationele gebeuren op de terminal en coördineert in samenspraak met de Foreman/Havenarbeiders beslissingen om de terminal optimaal te laten functioneren. Laad-en los-operaties op schepen, spoor-, trucks-, gateoperaties, opvolging warehousing en stockage.

Jouw verantwoordelijkheden:

  • Het werk voor huidige en volgende shift voorbereiden. Eventuele operationele uitdagingen proactief aanpakken.
  • Opvolging van de lopende shift, zodat de voortgang van operaties inzichtelijk is voor alle betrokken partijen, incl. status benutting van capaciteit terminals & warehouses.
  • Op basis van de verwachte workload een optimale bezetting van de havenarbeiders berekenen.
  • Je bent verantwoordelijk voor de veiligheid en er wordt verwacht dat je de veiligheidsregels navolgt.
  • Je spreekt en schrijft vlot Nederlands en Engels, Frans is een pluspunt.
  • Je kan werken met Office programma's: Excel, Outlook, Word...
  • Vlotheid met diverse IT systemen
  • Kennis van transportdocumenten is een plus.
  • Je bent in het bezit van een rijbewijs B.
  • Ervaring in de logistieke sector is een plus.
  • Flexibiliteit: werken in shiften
  • Hands-on mentaliteit: praktisch ingesteld zijn en probleemoplossend denken.
