The posting

Voor een bedrijf gelegen in de haven van Gent zijn we opzoek naar een Kaaibediende. Je bent verantwoordelijk over het operationele gebeuren op de terminal en coördineert in samenspraak met de Foreman/ Havenarbeiders beslissingen om de terminal optimaal te laten functioneren. Laad- en los-operaties op schepen, spoor, trucks, gateoperaties, opvolging warehousing en stockage.

  • Het werk voor huidige en volgende shift voorbereiden en planbaar maken
  • Opvolging van de lopende shift
  • Optimale bezetting van de havenarbeiders berekenen

Veiligheid

  • Je bent mee verantwoordelijk voor de veiligheid van jezelf en jouw collega's
  • Veiligheidsregels naleven
  • Je zorgt ervoor dat bij elke handeling de veiligheid van alle medewerkers primeert in de te nemen beslissing

Communicatie

  • Vlotte, vriendelijke en open interne en externe communicatie
  • Tijdige en proactieve communicatie aan departementshoofd, collega's en klanten

Algemeen

  • Aandacht voor zorgvuldig werk en begrijpen van jouw rol in het geheel
  • Initiatief durven nemen voor verbetering
  • Meedenken en meewerken aan het implementeren van structurele verbeteringen die het werk makkelijker en efficiënter maken
