The posting

Kaasboerderij Little Cheese Farm in Lotenhulle (Aalter) verwerkt de melk van eigen koeien tot ambachtelijke kazen van topkwaliteit. Met een assortiment van 20 soorten kazen, waarvan velen internationaal bekroond zijn, leveren we aan kaasspeciaalzaken, slagerijen, traiteurs en horecazaken.

Om ons team te versterken, zoeken we een kaasmaker in opleiding. Heb jij technische affiniteit, interesse in chemische processen, en de motivatie om het vak van kaasmaker te leren? Fysiek werk schrikt jou niet af? Dan is deze functie op jouw lijf geschreven!

Jouw rol als kaasmaker in opleiding

Als kaasmaker in opleiding krijg je een uitgebreide interne opleiding waarin je alle aspecten van het kaasmaakproces leert kennen. Van het verwerken van melk tot de zorg voor rijpende kazen: jij bent medeverantwoordelijk voor de kwaliteit van onze producten.

Wat ga je leren en doen?

Productie:

  • Het volledige proces van kaasmaken, inclusief de chemische reacties die melk omzetten in kaas.
  • Werken volgens verschillende recepturen en technieken.
  • Het voorbereiden van pekel, persen van kazen en andere specialistische handelingen.
  • Hygiënisch werken en het reinigen van apparatuur, rekken en vormen.

Rijping en verzorging:

  • De kazen behandelen, wassen, draaien en coaten om het rijpingsproces te perfectioneren.
  • Begrip ontwikkelen van de invloed van chemische processen op smaak, textuur en kwaliteit.

Wat wij van jou vragen:

  • Technische affiniteit: Je bent handig en leert graag hoe machines en processen werken.
  • Interesse in chemie: Je bent nieuwsgierig naar de natuurkundige en chemische processen achter het kaasmaken.
  • Fysiek werk: Je hebt geen probleem met lichamelijk werk en steekt graag de handen uit de mouwen.
  • Leren en doen: Je bent gedreven om een vak te leren en pakt uitdagingen met enthousiasme aan.
  • Praktisch inzicht: Je denkt logisch en blijft rustig als er zich een probleem voordoet.
  • Taalvaardigheid: Je spreekt en begrijpt Nederlands. Kennis van Frans of Engels is een pluspunt.
  • Passie voor voeding: Je hebt interesse in kwaliteitsproducten en voeding.
