Je brengt overzicht wanneer een behandeling vastloopt, geeft inhoudelijke richting en helpt patiënten stappen te zetten naar een veiliger en betekenisvoller leven. Binnen locatie de Wierde combineer je directe patiëntenzorg met een specialistische rol in het multidisciplinaire team. Je zet jouw expertise qua psychodiagnostiek en psychotherapie in en krijgt ruimte om collega's te begeleiden en de behandeling inhoudelijk verder te ontwikkelen. "Wat mij aanspreekt in de forensische psychiatrie is dat je echt de diepte ingaat. Je kijkt verder dan de diagnose en probeert te begrijpen wat achter gedrag schuilgaat. Samen met collega's zoek je naar manieren om behandeling weer in beweging te krijgen, zonder de veiligheid uit het oog te verliezen. Je behandelt patiënten met ernstige psychiatrische problematiek en grensoverschrijdend of strafbaar gedrag. Daarbij onderzoek je de samenhang tussen psychische klachten, gedrag, risico's en de omgeving van de patiënt. Vanuit jouw specialistische expertise geef je richting aan diagnostiek en behandeling, vooral wanneer het behandelproces stagneert of verschillende belangen samenkomen.
