Over de afdeling De functieafdeling Klinische NeuroFysiologie (KNF) maakt onderdeel uit van de polikliniek Neurologie. De eenheid Neurologie richt zich op klinische en poliklinische patiëntenzorg en functieonderzoeken. Wij zijn een team van 7 gediplomeerde KNF laboranten en 1 leerling KNF laborant. Wij werken nauw samen met de neurologen, en dan met name met de neurologen die KNF als aandachtsgebied hebben. Wat ga je doen Als KNF Laborant verricht je onderzoek dat is gericht op het opsporen van stoornissen in het functioneren van de hersenen en zenuwbanen, de spieren en de bloedvoorzieningen van de hersenen, zoals EEG, EMG-zenuwgeleidingsonderzoek en Duplex. Dat maakt deze functie erg afwisselend en uitdagend! Binnen onze afdelingverricht je bovendien uitgebreide EMG onderzoeken bij complexe neuromusculaire patiënten, 24-uurs EEG registraties bij kinderen en volwassen en EEG registraties op de IC. Op de afdeling KNF wordt slaaponderzoek (PSG) gedaan en samengewerkt met de neuroloog-somnoloog en een Verpleegkundig specialist slaap. Als laborant klinische neurofysiologie (laborant KNF) werk je veelal zelfstandig met behulp van geavanceerde elektronische apparatuur. Daarnaast doe je verslaglegging van de onderzoeken, verricht je administratieve werkzaamheden ten behoeve van de planning, inschrijving en verwerking van de aanvragen en lever je een bijdrage aan kennis en deskundigheidsbevordering en kwaliteitszorg.
