Werk jij het liefst buiten en zit je graag achter de hendels van een kraan of heftruck? Hou je daarnaast van klantencontact en een werkdag waarin laden, lossen, controleren en sorteren elkaar afwisselen? Dan kan deze functie als Koerman goed bij jou passen.

Je komt terecht bij een gevestigde onderneming binnen de recyclage- en metaalverwerkende sector. Het bedrijf maakt deel uit van een grotere Europese groep en verwerkt dagelijks verschillende ferro- en non-ferrometalen. Aangeleverde materialen worden gecontroleerd, gesorteerd en verwerkt zodat ze opnieuw als grondstof kunnen worden ingezet.

Op de werf komen dagelijks verschillende materiaalstromen samen. Schroothandelaars en andere leveranciers brengen metalen binnen, vrachtwagens worden geladen en gelost en materialen moeten correct worden gesorteerd en gestockeerd. Een goede samenwerking tussen de koer, machines en weegbrug is dan ook belangrijk om alles vlot te laten verlopen.

Als koerman zit je bovendien niet de volledige dag met de hand te sorteren. Ongeveer 70% van jouw functie bestaat uit kraan- en heftruckwerk. De overige 30% bestaat uit materiaalcontrole, klantencontact, sorteerwerk en andere praktische taken op de werf.

Wat houdt de job in?

  • Bij aankomst ontvang je schroothandelaars en leveranciers en controleer je de aangevoerde materialen op soort, kwaliteit en zuiverheid, waarna je jouw bevindingen afstemt met de weegbrugverantwoordelijke.
  • Gedurende ongeveer 70% van jouw werkdag bedien je een mobiele kraan met losse grijper voor het laden en lossen van vrachtwagens en het uitvoeren van sorteerwerk op de werf.
  • Met behulp van de heftruck verplaats je goederen naar de correcte stockageplaats en zorg je ervoor dat verschillende materiaalstromen overzichtelijk van elkaar gescheiden blijven.
  • Samen met jouw collega's ondersteun je waar nodig bij het sorteren van non-ferrometalen en neem je verschillende praktische werkzaamheden op de werf voor jouw rekening.
  • Tijdens de werkzaamheden houd je aandacht voor kwaliteit, orde en veiligheid en meld je technische storingen tijdig aan de verantwoordelijke.
  • Ervaring met een heftruck is sterk gewenst en een heftruckattest vormt een pluspunt; technische kennis, ervaring met een mobiele kraan of een kraanattest zijn bijkomende troeven, maar geen absolute vereisten.
  • Een praktische werkhouding combineer je met klantvriendelijkheid en veiligheidsbewustzijn; werken in de buitenlucht en in een industriële werfomgeving spreekt je aan en je springt bij waar nodig.
  • Voor een veilige communicatie met klanten en collega's beschik je over een goede kennis Nederlands en ben je bereid om gemiddeld 1 à 2 keer per maand op zaterdagvoormiddag te werken.
