Ook betaalbaarheid, Nederlandse herkomst en het vermogen om in Nederland voedsel te blIjven produceren spelen een belangrIjke rol. Het onderzoek is uitgevoerd onder 2.606 Nederlanders van 18 jaar en ouder. De resultaten zIjn gewogen naar leeftIjd, geslacht en opleidingsniveau. BIj een betrouwbaarheidsniveau van 95% bedraagt de maximale statistische foutmarge circa 2 procentpunt. Wat Nederland zegt? 95% eet vlees. Vlees blIjft stevig verankerd in het Nederlandse voedingspatroon. Het aandeel Nederlanders dat vlees eet, is over meerdere onderzoeksjaren vrIjwel stabiel. 69% wil een sterke Nederlandse vleessector behouden. Een ruime meerderheid ziet ook in de toekomst een plaats voor vlees en vindt het belangrIjk dat Nederland een sterke vleessector behoudt. Betaalbaarheid staat onder druk. 52% vindt dat vlees financieel niet of zeker niet meer voor iedereen bereikbaar is. In 2024 was dit 45%. Daarnaast vindt 66% dat de politiek ervoor moet zorgen dat vlees betaalbaar blIjft voor mensen met lagere inkomens. 63% geeft de voorkeur aan Nederlands vlees. Nederlandse herkomst speelt een duidelIjke rol bIj de keuze van consumenten.
