Grote machines, containers en liever buiten dan tussen vier magazijnmuren? Als kraanmachinist en reachstackerchauffeur zorg je ervoor dat containers veilig van schip naar terminal en verder richting vrachtwagen gaan. Ervaring is welkom, maar geen absolute must. Technisch inzicht, verantwoordelijkheidszin en zin om het vak te leren tellen hier stevig mee.

Wat ga je doen?

Je werkt op een containerterminal in Zwevegem waar binnenvaartschepen, vrachtwagens en containers dagelijks samenkomen. Jij zorgt ervoor dat iedere container veilig en volgens planning op de juiste plaats terechtkomt.

• Je laadt en lost binnenvaartschepen met een terminalkraan

• Je verplaatst en stapelt containers met een reachstacker

• Je positioneert containers volgens de planning en operationele instructies

• Je controleert of containers veilig en stabiel geplaatst zijn

• Je stemt af met dispatching en collega's over de dagelijkse goederenstroom

• Je voert kleine technische controles uit aan het materieel

• Je merkt afwijkingen of technische problemen op en meldt die tijdig

• Je houdt samen met je collega's het terrein ordelijk en werkbaar

• Je werkt consequent volgens de veiligheidsvoorschriften

Je zit hier letterlijk aan de knoppen van een belangrijk deel van de terminalwerking. Een container verkeerd plaatsen betekent extra bewegingen en tijdverlies. Goed werken betekent dat schip, vrachtwagen en terminal vlot op elkaar blijven aansluiten.

Wie zoeken we echt?

• Ervaring met een kraan, reachstacker of zwaar rollend materieel is interessant, maar geen absolute vereiste

• Je hebt technisch inzicht en interesse in grote machines

• Je werkt nauwkeurig en veiligheid komt altijd op de eerste plaats

• Je werkt graag buiten

• Je kunt zelfstandig verantwoordelijkheid opnemen en tegelijk goed samenwerken

• Je bent bereid nieuwe machines en technieken aan te leren

• Je kunt vlot communiceren in het Nederlands
