Ben jij iemand die problemen ziet én aanpakt? Neem je spontaan initiatief in een labo-omgeving en werk je graag samen om praktijkonderwijs vlot, veilig en kwaliteitsvol te laten verlopen? Neem je daarbij graag een verbindende rol op als basis voor constructieve samenwerking? Dan ben jij misschien de collega die we zoeken.

Jouw job Je maakt deel uit van het team labo en ateliermedewerkers van het departement Biowetenschappen en Industriële Technologie (DBT). Je wordt ingezet in chemische onderwijslabo’s en draagt actief bij aan de dagelijkse werking ervan.

Je rol is essentieel voor het garanderen van kwalitatief, veilig en up to date praktijkonderwijs. Dat doe je niet van achter een bureau, maar door daadkrachtig aanwezig te zijn op de werkvloer.

In deze rol verwachten we dat je initiatief neemt, werkzaamheden zelfstandig opneemt en tegelijk actief afstemt met leidinggevende, collega’s en lectoren. Je bent het aanspreekpunt voor zowel de gebruikers van de praktijklocatie(s) als de HOGENT ondersteunende diensten.

Je staat o.a. in voor:

  • het voorbereiden, onderhouden, controleren en herstellen van (analytische) labo apparatuur
  • het actueel houden en toepassen van SOP’s, veiligheids en werkinstructies
  • het signaleren van problemen in labo ruimtes en het proactief opvolgen van de nodige acties
  • het beheer van materialen en chemicaliën, inclusief stockopvolging en bestellingen
  • het toezien op naleving van veiligheids en milieuvoorschriften typisch voor chemische laboratoria
  • het praktisch ondersteunen van lectoren tijdens in de voorbereiding en uitvoering van hun practica.

Aan welke toelatingsvoorwaarden voldoe je? Om in aanmerking te komen voor deze vacature, voldoe je aan onderstaande toelatingsvoorwaarden op het moment van jouw sollicitatie:

Je voldoet aan de bepalingen van artikel V.106 van de Codex Hoger Onderwijs

Je hebt een diploma van bachelor in een (bio)chemische, biotechnologische, biomedische richting of een gelijkgeschakeld studiebewijs hoger onderwijs van vóór 2004-2005, of een gelijkwaardig buitenlands diploma.

• neemt graag spontaan initiatief en onderneemt actie bij onvoorziene of onduidelijke situaties;

• werkt autonoom en stemt je werk actief af binnen het team;

• bent zichtbaar aanwezig op de werkvloer en neemt eigenaarschap op;

• werkt gestructureerd, nauwkeurig en veilig in een chemische labo-omgeving;

• hebt aantoonbare ervaring met veilig en preventief werken in een chemische omgeving;

• denkt praktisch en handelt probleemoplossend;

• communiceert helder en functioneel in een werkomgeving;

• hanteert een respectvolle, waarderende en tegelijk resultaatgerichte communicatie, met de assertiviteit om acties te realiseren en op te volgen;

• gebruikt vlot Outlook en MS Teams en draagt actief bij aan MS Teams als (gedeelde) werkomgeving;

• draagt actief bij aan een collegiale en samenwerkende labo-omgeving;

• schoolt je bij in functie van de labo-werking.

Wat zijn extra troeven?

• ervaring in een onderwijslabo;

• aantoonbare hands-on ervaring met analytische labo-apparatuur zoals AAS, UV/VIS spectrofotometer, vlamfotometer, chromatografische apparatuur;

• affiniteit met duurzaam en efficiënt labo-beheer
