Je gaat aan de slag binnen een internationale organisatie in de life sciences die analytische testen en diensten aanbiedt voor onder meer voeding, dierenvoeding en water. De organisatie ondersteunt klanten bij het bewaken van de veiligheid, kwaliteit, samenstelling, authenticiteit en traceerbaarheid van producten.

Voor de Belgische activiteiten kom je terecht in een microbiologisch laboratorium in Nazareth-De Pinte (Gent). Het laboratorium maakt deel uit van een groeiende en dynamische omgeving waarin kwaliteit, samenwerking en continue verbetering centraal staan.

Jobomschrijving

Wil jij dagelijks werken met microbiologische analyses in een professionele labo-omgeving? Krijg je energie van nauwkeurig en kwaliteitsgericht laboratoriumwerk? Wil je mee instaan voor betrouwbare analyses binnen een omgeving waar veiligheid en kwaliteit centraal staan?

Als Laborant ben je verantwoordelijk voor het tijdig, correct en kwalitatief uitvoeren van routine microbiologische analyses. Je werkt volgens geaccrediteerde procedures en maakt daarbij gebruik van een LIMS-systeem.

Je takenpakket bestaat onder andere uit:

  • Uitvoeren van microbiologische analyses op voeding, dierenvoeder en water.
  • Inzetten, verdunnen en uitplaten van stalen.
  • Uitvoeren van RT-PCR.
  • Aflezen van resultaten en uitvoeren van klassieke fenotypische bevestigingstesten.
  • Werken met onder meer Salmonella, Listeria, Legionella, Bacillus cereus, gisten, schimmels en melkzuurbacteriën.
  • Nauwgezet volgen van interne procedures, werkvoorschriften en de vereisten van ISO 17025.
  • Afwijkingen en problemen signaleren en mogelijke oplossingen voorstellen.
  • Veiligheidsvoorschriften en richtlijnen voor afvalverwerking correct toepassen.
  • Meewerken aan de opvolging en tijdige oplossing van problemen en klantklachten.
  • Constructief samenwerken met andere afdelingen.
  • Bijdragen aan continue verbetering binnen het laboratorium.
  • Open en correct rapporteren aan je leidinggevende.

Je werkt in een vaste late ploeg, van donderdag tot maandag. De werkuren zijn van 11.00 tot 19.30 uur.

  • Een bachelordiploma in biomedische laboratoriumtechnologie, biotechnologie of een vergelijkbare richting, of aantoonbare ervaring in een microbiologisch laboratorium.
  • Ervaring in de voedingssector of binnen een servicelaboratorium is een pluspunt, maar geen vereiste.
  • Interesse in microbiologische analyses, laboratoriumwerk en food testing.
  • Een groot verantwoordelijkheidsgevoel en de nodige zelfstandigheid.
  • Een nauwkeurige en kwaliteitsbewuste werkhouding.
  • Het vermogen om prioriteiten te stellen en ook onder druk georganiseerd te blijven.
  • Een flexibele ingesteldheid en de mogelijkheid om goed om te gaan met veranderingen.
  • Een positieve houding tegenover een dynamische werkomgeving met verschillende prikkels.
  • Een sterke teamgeest en goede samenwerkingsvaardigheden.
  • Het vermogen om eigen kennis correct in te schatten en informatie te verwerken, analyseren en toepassen.
  • Doorzettingsvermogen en betrokkenheid bij het werk.
  • Uitstekende kennis van het Nederlands en een goede basiskennis van Engels en Frans.
