The posting

Voor een hoogtechnologisch voedingsbedrijf (eiwitisolaten) in de regio Ieper zijn we op zoek naar een Lab Technician ter versterking van het laboratoriumteam.

Als Lab Technician maak je deel uit van een dynamisch team van ongeveer tien collega's. Samen staan jullie in voor het uitvoeren, beoordelen en rapporteren van analyses op grondstoffen en eindproducten. Op die manier draag je rechtstreeks bij aan het waarborgen van een consistente topkwaliteit voor klanten wereldwijd.

Jouw verantwoordelijkheden

  • Je stemt tijdens het dagelijkse overleg samen met je collega's de planning af en organiseert je werkzaamheden efficiënt volgens de vereiste doorlooptijden.
  • Je voert diverse laboratoriumtesten uit op grondstoffen, tussenproducten en eindproducten.
  • Je evalueert en interpreteert testresultaten en communiceert deze naar de betrokken productieafdelingen.
  • Je verwerkt analyseresultaten nauwkeurig in de administratieve systemen.
  • Je draagt bij aan een goed georganiseerd labo door apparatuur te onderhouden, werkruimtes netjes te houden en materialen tijdig aan te vullen.
  • Je werkt volgens de geldende procedures rond voedselveiligheid, kwaliteit en veiligheid.
  • Je werkt in een rotatiesysteem van 6 weken: 4 weken dagdienst, 1 week vroege ploeg (6u - 14u), 1 week late ploeg (14u - 22u) .Tijdens de ploegweken werk je van maandag tot zondag met de nodige recuperatiedagen.
  • Je leert meer dan 20 verschillende analyses uitvoeren binnen zowel het microbiologisch als analytisch labo.
  • Na een uitgebreide opleidingsperiode krijg je de mogelijkheid om complexere en gespecialiseerde testen aan te leren.

Jouw profiel

  • Je beschikt over een bachelordiploma in een wetenschappelijke richting.
  • Ervaring als laborant, lab analyst of laboratoriummedewerker binnen de voedingssector of een gelijkaardige omgeving is een sterke troef.
  • Je voelt je thuis in een productieomgeving.
  • Je bent een echte teamspeler en werkt graag samen aan gemeenschappelijke doelstellingen.
  • Je bent leergierig en neemt initiatief om jouw kennis en vaardigheden verder uit te bouwen.
  • Je werkt nauwkeurig, georganiseerd en kwaliteitsgericht.
  • Je communiceert vlot in het Nederlands, zowel mondeling als schriftelijk.
  • Je beschikt over een goede basiskennis Engels.
  • Je hebt oog voor interne en externe klanten en denkt mee vanuit kwaliteit en service.
