De job?

Voor de school De Varens te Sint-Andries, zijn we op zoek naar een busbegeleider die tijdelijk bij ons aan de slag wil gaan. Dit voor de periode van 8/10/2026 tot en met 30/10/2026.

In het buitengewoon onderwijs, hebben leerlingen onder bepaalde voorwaarden, recht op busvervoer van en naar huis. Dit busvervoer wordt geregeld door de scholen zelf, De Lijn en de overheid.

Op de bussen, is er steeds een begeleider aanwezig. De begeleider bewaakt de kalmte en rust op de bus, zorgt ervoor dat iedereen op zijn stoel blijft zitten, dat alles proper blijft... De begeleider is er ook voor verantwoordelijk dat iedereen veilig aan de juiste halte en op het correcte uur wordt opgehaald en afgezet. Hij/zij vult dagelijks de aanwezigheden in, is begaan met de leefwereld van de kinderen, helpt ze waar nodig…en communiceert vragen en problemen met de busverantwoordelijke van onze school.

Hoe ziet je dag er dan uit?

Je werkdag start om 6u ‘s morgens. Je vertrekt samen met de chauffeur met de bus naar de eerste leerling en haalt ze één voor één op. Je komt toe aan de school rond 8u30.

In de namiddag verwachten we je om 15u50.

Je zal regelmatig in contact staan met de busverantwoordelijke van onze school. De verantwoordelijke ondersteunt je waar nodig en geeft de nodige informatie door.

Naar wie zijn we op zoek?

Het belangrijkste voor ons, is iemand met een groot hart voor kinderen en veel geduld. Ervaring met kinderen in het buitengewoon onderwijs is geen vereiste. Een goede portie begrip, kalmte en vriendelijkheid wel.

We zoeken iemand die op zijn/haar strepen staat en zich niet laat intimideren door een bus vol leerlingen die af en toe de grens zullen opzoeken. Begaan zijn met hun leefwereld en individuele karakters, is noodzakelijk.

Of je nu op zoek bent naar een deeltijdse job, of je bent reeds met pensioen maar wil toch nog een aantal uren per week aan het werk zijn … we verwelkomen iedereen graag.
