Wat ga je doen als Lead Engineer Mechanical? Als Lead Engineer Mechanical geef je inhoudelijk richting aan het engineeringteam en zorg je ervoor dat projecten technisch goed, maakbaar en binnen planning worden uitgewerkt. Je houdt overzicht over meerdere engineeringvraagstukken en bent een belangrijk technisch aanspreekpunt binnen de organisatie. Je zit daarbij niet alleen achter je bureau. Je schakelt regelmatig met de werkvloer om te controleren of ontwerpen goed aansluiten op de praktijk en gebruikt deze kennis om engineeringprocessen verder te verbeteren. Je werkzaamheden bestaan onder andere uit: • Aansturen en begeleiden van het Mechanical Engineering-team; • Bewaken van planning, kwaliteit en technische haalbaarheid; • Ontwerpen en beoordelen van complexe mechanische constructies en systemen; • Werken met SolidWorks, simulatiesoftware en andere technische systemen; • Controleren en vrijgeven van technische tekeningen en ontwerpen; • Afstemmen met productie over maakbaarheid en uitvoering; • Onderbouwen en nemen van technische beslissingen; • Signaleren van technische risico's en tijdig bijsturen; • Optimaliseren van engineeringprocessen en werkwijzen; • Aansturen en beoordelen van externe engineeringpartijen; • Ondersteunen van het management bij complexe technische vraagstukken; • Motiveren en technisch verder ontwikkelen van het engineeringteam.

Functie-eisen: Wie ben jij? Je bent een ervaren Lead Mechanical Engineer die technische diepgang combineert met natuurlijk leiderschap. Je houdt gemakkelijk overzicht, durft technische beslissingen te nemen en weet andere engineers mee te nemen in jouw aanpak. Daarnaast ben je praktisch ingesteld. Je vindt het belangrijk dat een ontwerp niet alleen op papier klopt, maar ook daadwerkelijk goed geproduceerd, gemonteerd en gebruikt kan worden. Daarnaast beschik je over: • Een afgeronde hbo-opleiding Werktuigbouwkunde of vergelijkbare technische opleiding; • Meerdere jaren relevante ervaring binnen Mechanical Enginee
