Als Lead Mechanical Engineer | Datacenters kom je terecht bij een internationaal ingenieurs- en adviesbureau dat bedrijven ondersteunt bij het ontwerpen en realiseren van technisch complexe projecten.

Binnen deze functie ligt de focus op datacenters. Dit zijn technisch veeleisende omgevingen waarin verschillende technische installaties en disciplines nauw op elkaar afgestemd moeten worden en betrouwbaarheid en continuïteit een belangrijke rol spelen.

Je maakt deel uit van een Belgische engineeringafdeling die verder wordt uitgebouwd rond datacenterprojecten. Vanuit België werk je nauw samen met internationale engineeringteams aan projecten voor zowel nationale als internationale klanten.

Je komt terecht in een multidisciplinaire omgeving waarin onder andere mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, bouwkunde en constructie samenkomen. Hierdoor krijg je een brede technische scope en ben je zowel tijdens de ontwerpfase als richting uitvoering betrokken bij de projecten.

Jobomschrijving

Als Lead Mechanical Engineer | Datacenters neem je de technische leiding over de mechanical engineering binnen complexe datacenterprojecten. Je bewaakt het ontwerp van conceptfase tot detailengineering en zorgt ervoor dat kwaliteit, technische haalbaarheid en de verschillende engineeringdisciplines perfect op elkaar afgestemd zijn.

• Je leidt en coördineert de mechanical engineering binnen datacenterprojecten

• Je werkt het mechanical ontwerp technisch uit van conceptfase tot detailontwerp

• Je bewaakt de technische kwaliteit en haalbaarheid van de ontworpen installaties

• Je zorgt ervoor dat ontwerpen voldoen aan relevante normen, richtlijnen en technische eisen van de klant

• Je stemt de mechanical engineering af met andere disciplines zoals electrical, bouwkunde en constructie

• Je coördineert ontwerpactiviteiten tussen Belgische en internationale engineeringteams

• Je reviewt en beoordeelt technische ontwerpen en berekeningen van andere engineers

• Je bent het technische aanspreekpunt voor mechanical vraagstukken richting het projectteam, klanten en externe partijen

• Je begeleidt andere engineers en draagt actief bij aan de kennisdeling binnen het team

• Je denkt mee over technische optimalisaties, innovatieve oplossingen en digitalisering binnen het ontwerpproces

• Je blijft betrokken tijdens de uitvoeringsfase en helpt de vertaalslag maken van engineering naar realisatie

Voor de functie van Lead Mechanical Engineer | Datacenters zoeken we een ervaren Mechanical Engineer met een sterke technische basis die voldoende expertise heeft om ontwerpen te beoordelen en andere engineers inhoudelijk te begeleiden. Ervaring binnen datacenters is interessant, maar ook ervaring binnen andere technisch complexe gebouwen kan aansluiten.

• Je beschikt over een bachelor- of masterdiploma binnen Mechanical Engineering, elektromechanica of een vergelijkbare technische richting

• Je hebt meerdere jaren relevante ervaring als Mechanical Engineer

• Je hebt ervaring met het technisch leiden en coördineren van mechanical engineering- en ontwerpactiviteiten

• Je hebt een goede kennis van werktuigbouwkundige installaties

• Je bent vertrouwd met relevante normen en richtlijnen binnen de bouw- en installatiesector

• Ervaring binnen datacenters, Mission Critical Facilities of andere technisch complexe gebouwen is een sterke troef

• Je kunt technische ontwerpen en berekeningen kritisch beoordelen

• Je werkt vlot samen met andere technische disciplines, klanten en externe partijen

• Je bent in staat om andere engineers technisch te begeleiden en jouw kennis over te dragen

• Je spreekt vlot Engels

• Een goede Nederlandse taalkennis is een must

• Kennis van het Frans is een pluspunt
