Een datacenter is zoveel meer dan een gebouw. Achter elke serverkast schuilt een technisch geheel waarin elke installatie perfect moet samenwerken. ️

Voor een internationale engineeringorganisatie zoeken we een Lead Mechanical Engineer die mee wil bouwen aan de technische backbone van de digitale wereld. Je komt terecht in een sterk groeiende Mission Critical omgeving, waar complexe projecten, internationale samenwerking en technische expertise samenkomen.

Vanuit België werk je samen met collega’s over de grenzen heen aan projecten waarbij betrouwbaarheid, innovatie en precisie centraal staan. Geen standaard engineering dus, maar technische uitdagingen waarbij jouw expertise écht het verschil maakt.

Functieomschrijving

  • Je leidt en ontwikkelt het mechanisch ontwerp van concept tot detaildesign en bewaakt daarbij de technische kwaliteit, maakbaarheid en conformiteit met normen en klantvereisten.
  • Je coördineert de mechanische engineering met andere disciplines en stemt de ontwerpactiviteiten af met zowel lokale als internationale projectteams.
  • Je beoordeelt ontwerpen en berekeningen, fungeert als technisch aanspreekpunt voor mechanische topics en ondersteunt klanten, projectteams en externe partners.
  • Je begeleidt junior engineers, stimuleert kennisdeling en denkt actief mee over optimalisaties, innovatieve oplossingen en digitalisering, waarbij je ook betrokken blijft bij de realisatie van het ontwerp.
  • Je beschikt over een bachelor- of masterdiploma in mechanica, werktuigbouwkunde of een vergelijkbare technische richting en hebt meerdere jaren ervaring als Mechanical Engineer.
  • Je hebt ervaring binnen technisch complexe omgevingen, bij voorkeur binnen datacenters, mission critical omgevingen of complexe gebouwen.
  • Je hebt ervaring met het technisch aansturen en coördineren van mechanische ontwerpactiviteiten binnen projecten en beschikt over een goede kennis van mechanische installaties en relevante normen en richtlijnen.
  • Je spreekt vlot Engels. Kennis van het Nederlands en/of Frans is een plus.
