Next.js is voor jou meer dan een framework. Je weet hoe je er digitale platformen mee bouwt die performant, schaalbaar en technisch sterk blijven wanneer de complexiteit toeneemt.

Binnen De Cronos Groep zoeken we een ervaren Lead Next.js Engineer die op lange termijn mee wil bouwen en een inhoudelijke lead opneemt rond Next.js.

Je blijft zelf volop hands-on ontwikkelen, maar neemt tegelijk extra technische verantwoordelijkheid. Je wordt een inhoudelijk referentiepunt voor Next.js, denkt mee over technische keuzes en helpt de expertise binnen het team verder uitbouwen.

Dit is geen klassieke people managementrol. Je stuurt niet noodzakelijk een team aan, maar neemt wel technisch ownership, deelt kennis en helpt mee richting geven aan hoe Next.js binnen projecten wordt ingezet.

De samenwerking is mogelijk in vast dienstverband of op freelancebasis. In beide gevallen zoeken we iemand die zich voor langere tijd aan het team en de technologie wil verbinden.

Wat ga je doen?

Je bouwt en optimaliseert moderne webapplicaties binnen grotere digitale ecosystemen: meerdere markten of talen, verschillende integraties en platformen die voortdurend verder evolueren.

Concreet:

  • ontwikkel je complexe applicaties met Next.js, React en TypeScript;
  • neem je inhoudelijk de lead op rond Next.js;
  • denk je mee over de technische opzet en architectuur van oplossingen;
  • maak je onderbouwde keuzes rond rendering, data fetching, caching en performance;
  • integreer je frontendoplossingen met API's, back-endservices en andere platformen;
  • bewaak je codekwaliteit, testing, onderhoudbaarheid en schaalbaarheid;
  • help je technische afspraken en best practices rond Next.js mee vormgeven;
  • onderzoek je complexe technische problemen en werk je structurele oplossingen uit;
  • bespreek je technische keuzes en hun impact helder met collega's en klanten;
  • deel je kennis en spar je met andere developers over technische vraagstukken.

Je technische expertise is daarbij je belangrijkste vorm van leiderschap.

Wie zoeken we?

We zoeken geen React Developer die Next.js af en toe heeft gebruikt.

Je hebt professionele, hands-on ervaring met Next.js in productieomgevingen en voldoende technische maturiteit om zelfstandig verantwoordelijkheid op te nemen en inhoudelijk richting te geven.

Je hebt een sterke basis in:

  • Next.js, React en TypeScript/JavaScript;
  • moderne frontendarchitectuur;
  • API-integraties;
  • testing en code reviews;
  • performance-optimalisatie;
  • CI/CD en moderne development workflows.

Je begrijpt hoe technische keuzes invloed hebben op performance, rendering, schaalbaarheid, onderhoudbaarheid en user experience.

Daarnaast kijk je verder dan je eigen code. Je onderzoekt alternatieven, stelt bestaande oplossingen in vraag wanneer nodig en kunt technische beslissingen helder onderbouwen.

We zoeken een sterke medior of senior engineer die vanaf de start zelfstandig kan meedraaien en voldoende expertise heeft om als technisch referentiepunt rond Next.js te fungeren.

Extra interessant

Ervaring met enterprise web- of e-commerceplatformen, headless/composable architecturen, Node.js, GraphQL, CMS-technologie, cloud, Vercel of commerceplatformen is een plus.

Je hoeft niet alles af te vinken.

Belangrijker is dat je ervaring hebt met voldoende complexe digitale omgevingen om te begrijpen hoe verschillende technologieën, integraties en afhankelijkheden samen één platform vormen.
