Als lector Meaningful Events & Technology onderzoek je evenementen als hybride arena's waarin beleving, interactie en participatie zowel economische als maatschappelijke waarde creëren. Evenementen worden daarbij niet uitsluitend benaderd als commerciële producten, maar ook als tijdelijke community places waarin communityvorming, belonging en gedeelde beleving ontstaan. In deze context draagt het lectoraat bij aan kennis over hoe eventontwerp en technologie kunnen bijdragen aan welzijn, betrokkenheid en sociale cohesie. De onderzoeksopdracht richt zich op de ontwikkeling binnen het onderzoeksprogramma van het lectoraat van samenhangende onderzoekslijnen rond hybride eventformats, immersieve storytelling, publieksinteractie en de meetbaarheid van beleving en impact. Daarbij wordt expliciet gekeken naar meervoudige waardecreatie: economisch (zoals merkwaarde, return on experience en nieuwe verdienmodellen), sociaal en cultureel (zoals inclusiviteit, toegankelijkheid en publieksbetrokkenheid). Ontwerpende onderzoeksmethoden worden gecombineerd met data-analyses en evaluatie-instrumenten, zodat creatieve concepten niet alleen artistiek of inhoudelijk, maar ook strategisch en bedrijfsmatig onderbouwd en schaalbaar zijn. Het nieuw op te richten lectoraat Meaningful Events & Technology richt zich op praktijkgericht en ontwerpgericht onderzoek naar publieksbeleving en technologische innovatie binnen de evenementenindustrie en aanverwante creatieve en economische sectoren.
