The posting

Je staat in voor de dagelijkse ondersteuning van kinderen met een mentale beperking en uitgesproken pedagogische ondersteuningsnoden die licht en matig probleemgedrag vertonen teneinde hun kwaliteit van bestaan op alle mogelijke vlakken te handhaven en te verhogen. Jouw werkdagen zijn zeer afwisselend en je draagt rechtstreeks bij aan het levensgeluk van onze bewoners en hun netwerk.

Zorg op maat en emotioneel welbevinden vormen de kern van onze werking. We stemmen onze ondersteuning af op de individuele zorgnoden van elk kind. Daarbij leggen we de nadruk op volgende behoeften:

  • Een duidelijk gestructureerde en voorspelbare omgeving
  • Begeleiding door vaste en vertrouwde medewerkers
  • Een stabiele, herkenbare leefomgeving
  • Heldere grenzen en een consequente aanpak
  • (Individuele) aandacht, ondersteuning bij basisbehoeften en het creëren van momenten van écht contact
  • Prikkelreductie en ondersteuning bij prikkelregulatie
  • Een gezond evenwicht tussen rust en activering
  • Mogelijkheden voor grofmotorische activering

Wij zoeken een kandidaat die:

  • Inzicht heeft in emotionele ontwikkeling en kan werken volgens een begeleidingsstijl passend bij fase 1–2.
  • Kennis heeft van autisme en deze theorie kan toepassen in de praktijk.
  • Gedragsanalyse beheerst (o.a. ABC-schema, signaleringsplan, crisisontwikkelingsmodel) en hiermee doelgericht kan werken.
  • Vlot gebruik kan maken van ondersteunende communicatie (zoals SMOG, visuele daglijnen, inchecksystemen…).
  • Ervaring heeft met PTV-werking of bereid is zich hierin te verdiepen.
  • Medische opvolging mee kan ondersteunen voor één bewoner (in samenwerking met het team en medische partners).
  • Activerende methodieken kent of wil toepassen, zoals ZOEM, BIM, Sherborne en massage.
  • Sterk is in teamcommunicatie, verantwoordelijkheid opneemt en actief bijdraagt aan een professionele samenwerking.
