Als leefgroepmedewerker in een GES-groep in campus Zonhoven sta je samen met de collega's in voor de dagelijkse zorg en ondersteuning van volwassenen personen met een verstandelijke beperking en een hoge psychische kwetsbaarheid. Jouw werkdagen zijn zeer afwisselend en je draagt rechtstreeks bij aan het levensgeluk van onze bewoners en hun netwerk. Je werkt voortdurend preventief en veiligheid, betrouwbaarheid en respectvolle bejegening vormen steeds de basis, ook bij escalatie of crisis. De diverse kwetsbaarheden vragen om goede communicatie, een flexibel vermogen en goede pedagogische vaardigheden.

Je beschikt (bijna) over een diploma in een sociale of pedagogische richting. Je hebt ervaring of wenst te werken met met personen met een verstandelijke beperking en bijkomende gedrags- en emotionele stoornissen. Respect voor de eigenheid van onze bewoners draag je hoog in het vaandel en je bent bereid om voortdurend te investeren in een positieve, warme relatie met de bewoners. Je bent sterk in het analyseren van situaties en je slaagt erin om je eigen gedrag en houding zelfbewust aan te passen. Je hebt een stabiele persoonlijkheid en je kan het hoofd koel houden in complexe en (latent) bedreigende situaties. Op een open, loyale en respectvolle manier samenwerken in een team is voor jou een evidentie. Je hebt ervaring op vlak van verzorging of bent bereid dit te leren.
