Je hoeft het vak nog niet te beheersen, want daar is dit een leerling functie voor. Maar je hebt wel iets met techniek: of dat nu sleutelen in je vrije tijd is, interesse in de hardware van elektronische apparaten, of gewoon willen weten hoe iets werkt en het zelf willen maken. Die nieuwsgierigheid is je startpunt. De rest leer je hier, vanaf dag één opgeleid met training en een ervaren collega die je meeneemt.

Je werkt fulltime in Noord-Holland en start je dag gewoon vanuit huis. Je eigen servicebus staat voor de deur, gevuld met onderdelen die de nachtkoerier heeft aangevuld. Na het checken van je planning ga je langs zo'n zeven tot acht adressen, waar je storingen verhelpt en reparaties uitvoert aan huishoudelijke apparaten zoals wasmachines, drogers en vaatwassers. In het begin kijk je mee en leer je de handelingen; gaandeweg pak je steeds meer zelf op. Bij de klant thuis ben je het aanspreekpunt: je achterhaalt wat er aan de hand is, lost het op en legt uit hoe het apparaat werkt.

Stap voor stap groei je van je eerste reparatie naar het zelfstandig oplossen van storingen. Heb je affiniteit met techniek, wil je een vak leren waarmee je overal terechtkunt, en heb je geen kantoorbaan voor ogen? Solliciteer dan op de functie van leerling monteur service en onderhoud en bouw je technische basis op.
