Jullie werken als één team , vanuit één visie, één beleid, één werkwijze en één aanspreekpunt per school met een gezamenlijke verantwoordelijkheid voor de leerlingen. Als leerplichtambtenaar voer je preventiegesprekken op scholen met spijbelaars en hun ouders , onderzoek je de reden van het verzuim, verwijs je als dat nodig is richting hulpverlening of maak je een HALT-verwijzing of een proces verbaal op. Je adviseert schooldirecteuren over de wet- en regelgeving op het gebied van de leerplicht en over het voorkomen van voortijdig schoolverlaten . Je maakt daarbij optimaal gebruik van jouw uitgebreide netwerk. Verder beoordeel je aanvragen voor vrijstelling van de leerplichtwet. Als leerplichtambtenaar krijg je te maken met complexe situaties waarbij je mensen moet overtuigen en medewerking moet verkrijgen. Soms loop je daarbij tegen knelpunten aan . Je bespreekt deze knelpunten met je coördinator om samen tot een oplossing te komen. Jouw kracht Je legt makkelijk contact en wekt vertrouwen bij je gesprekspartner.
