NESTAS Scholengroep Basisschool Mondriaan is een school van Nestas. Bij Nestas werken 22 openbare en katholieke basisscholen samen. We hebben scholen in Dordrecht, Zwijndrecht, Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht en Gorinchem. Een school 'waar ieder kind zich thuis voelt'. Dat is waar wij voor gaan. Onze scholen en medewerkers maken hierin het verschil en zorgen samen voor een warm nest met kansen voor iedereen. Regulier, Jenaplan, Montessori, Dalton of speciaal basisonderwijs. Kindcentrum Mondriaan is naast een reguliere, multiculturele basisschool in Oud Krispijn, het NT-expertisecentrum2 van Dordrecht. Alle nieuwkomers krijgen gedurende één tot anderhalf jaar intensief taalonderwijs op onze school. Daarna stromen zij uit naar scholen in de omgeving van waar zij wonen. Onze school heeft zeven NT2-(schakel)groepen en negen reguliere groepen. Gedurende het jaar vindt er instroom in de heterogene NT-groepen2 plaats. Het curriculum is adaptief en gericht op het aanbieden van Nederlandse taal. We werken in kleine groepen, met een veilig pedagogisch klimaat en veel structuur.
