Dit zijn wij De gemeente Zandvoort (circa 17.000 inwoners) heeft een onafhankelijke rekenkamer voor onderzoek naar de doeltreffendheid, doelmatigheid en rechtmatigheid van het gevoerde beleid in de gemeente Zandvoort. De rekenkamer heeft 3 leden, waaronder de voorzitter. De rekenkamer is geen traditionele rekenkamer. De rekenkamer wil zich voortdurend ontwikkelen. Ze is daarvoor altijd op zoek naar de best mogelijke vormen van aanbesteden, uitvoeren en presenteren van onderzoek. Bepalend daarbij is altijd de toegevoegde waarde voor de gemeenteraad. De rekenkamer hecht erg aan een goede relatie met de raad, maar investeert ook bewust in contacten met burgemeester, college en gemeentesecretaris. De rekenkamer heeft een onderzoeksbudget beschikbaar van circa € 25.000,- per jaar. Dit wordt door de raad vastgesteld. Zie ook de website van de gemeente Zandvoort, onderdeel Rekenkamer. Dit ga je doen In het algemeen wordt onderzoek uitbesteed. Je begeleidt onderzoek naar de doeltreffendheid, doelmatigheid en rechtmatigheid van het gevoerde beleid in de gemeente Zandvoort. Je vertaalt (onderzoeks)resultaten in concrete aanbevelingen, die praktisch toepasbaar zijn voor de raad. Het tijdsbeslag bedraagt gemiddeld een dagdeel in de week en hangt sterk af van de fase van het onderzoek. De rekenkamer vergadert gemiddeld één keer per maand, gewoonlijk op donderdagavond.
