In het museum kun je jezelf verwonderen over kunst en wetenschap. Het heeft een unieke verzameling fossielen, mineralen, boeken, munten, penningen, natuurkundige instrumenten, schilderijen en tekeningen die van internationale betekenis is. Maar ook de geschiedenis van het museum zelf is aanwezig in de oude zalen en Pieter Teylers Huis. We organiseren uiteenlopende en succesvolle (internationale) tentoonstellingen, van Hockney's Eye en De grote illusie tot De mannen van Michelangelo. Teylers Museum zoekt een betrokken en deskundig Lid Raad van Toezicht Portefeuille Onderwijs minimaal 4 bijeenkomsten per jaar In deze rol draag je bij aan de verder ontwikkeling van de educatieve en maatschappelijke betekenis van het oudste museum van Nederland. Over de rol Als toezichthouder met de portefeuille onderwijs adviseer en houd je toezicht op de strategische ontwikkeling van deze educatieve ambities. Je brengt kennis en ervaring mee op het gebied van onderwijs en educatie en draagt bij aan de verbinding tussen het museum, het onderwijsveld en de samenleving. Rol en verantwoordelijkheden Het lid van de raad van toezicht met de portefeuille onderwijs: - Houdt toezicht op de wijze waarop het museum invulling geeft aan zijn publieke en specifiek educatieve / onderwijstaak. - Adviseert directie gevraagd en ongevraagd op onderwijs- en educatiebeleid. - Fungeert als klankbord bij de ontwikkeling van educatieve onderwijsprogramma's en samenwerkingsverbanden met scholen. - Houdt toezicht op strategie en algemeen beleid van het museum. - Draagt bij aan de zelfevaluatie van de raad. - Houdt toezicht in lijn met de (nieuwe) G...
