Vanuit de zorgvisie Goed Leven werkt de organisatie aan persoonsgerichte zorg en kwaliteit van bestaan. Samen met circa 325 medewerkers biedt De Merwelanden een compleet pakket van zorg en ondersteuning: van thuiszorg tot kleinschalig groepswonen. De organisatie heeft bewust de transitie van het medische naar het welzijnsmodel gemaakt. De opgave De Merwelanden staat voor een veelzijdige opgave. Het behoud van een gezonde financiële positie vraagt aandacht in een zorglandschap dat volop in beweging is. De vastgoedportefeuille is een wezenlijke strategische opgave: een strategisch vastgoedplan en meerjarenonderhoudsplan spelen in op nieuwe zorgconcepten en verduurzaming. De Merwelanden wil vastgoed inzetten als drager van een zorgzame wijk, in co-creatie met bewoners en lokale partners. Regionale positionering en samenwerking hebben eveneens een belangrijke focus.
