Bibliotheek aan den IJssel zoekt een nieuw lid voor de Raad van Toezicht dat met visie, betrokkenheid en een frisse blik wil bijdragen aan de verdere ontwikkeling van de bibliotheek. In een samenleving waarin kansenongelijkheid, laaggeletterdheid en digitale uitsluiting nog steeds grote uitdagingen vormen, speelt de bibliotheek een steeds belangrijkere maatschappelijke rol. In ons nieuwe Meerjarenbeleidsplan 2026-2029 zetten wij koers naar een bibliotheek die zichtbaar aanwezig is in de wijk en nog sterker verbonden is met inwoners en partners. Vanuit de pijlers 'Taal is onze sleutel', 'Iedereen doet mee' en 'Altijd nieuwsgierig' investeren wij in taal- en leesvaardigheid, digitale inclusie, persoonlijke ontwikkeling en ontmoeting. Zo bouwen we samen aan een betrokken, inclusieve en toekomstbestendige samenleving in Capelle en Krimpen. De Raad van Toezicht speelt een belangrijke rol bij het bewaken van deze maatschappelijke koers en het ondersteunen van de verdere ontwikkeling van de organisatie. Wij zoeken daarom een: Lid Raad van Toezicht Over de Raad van Toezicht Bibliotheek aan den IJssel werkt volgens een Raad van Toezicht-model met een eenhoofdige directie. De Raad houdt toezicht op de strategie, maatschappelijke impact, kwaliteit, financiën en organisatieontwikkeling van de bibliotheek. Daarnaast fungeert de Raad als werkgever en sparringpartner van de bestuurder en bewaakt zij het maatschappelijke en culturele belang van de organisatie. De Raad bestaat uit vijf leden en streeft naar een evenwichtige verdeling van expertise, onder meer op financieel, juridisch, HR- en maatschappelijk gebied.
