Lid Raad van Toezicht (Achtergrond in Finance en onderwijsaffiniteit) Stichting OPONOA geeft onderwijs op alle scholen voor openbaar basisonderwijs in de gemeente Berkelland. Dagelijks zetten zo'n 200 enthousiaste personeelsleden zich in voor ongeveer 1500 leerlingen. Met 12 basisscholen, 1 school voor speciaal basisonderwijs en daarbinnen 1 school voor onderwijs aan hoogbegaafde leerlingen, is er altijd wel een OPONOA-school in de buurt. Stichting Openbaar Primair Onderwijs Noord Oost Achterhoek is in 2003 ontstaan na het verzelfstandigen van het openbaar onderwijs in de toenmalige gemeenten Borculo, Ruurlo, Eibergen, Neede en Groenlo. Home (oponoa.nl) Bij OPONOA werken we vanuit de landelijke kernwaarden openbaar onderwijs: gelijkwaardigheid, vrijheid en ontmoeting. Kinderen en ouders met verschillende achtergronden zijn welkom. Er is respect voor ieders overtuiging en interesse in elkaars opvattingen, normen en waarden. Openbaar onderwijs is ook ontmoeting en samen. We leren van elkaars verschillen en zijn nieuwsgierig naar het verhaal van de ander. We dragen zorg voor elkaar en voor onze omgeving. De scholen staan midden in de samenleving en zijn centrale ontmoetingsplaatsen in dorp of wijk. We zoeken actief naar verbinding bij de ontwikkelingen in het onderwijs en de maatschappij en werken daarbij vanzelfsprekend samen met ouders, de belangrijkste partners en met anderen in de omgeving. Er wordt, als duurzaam antwoord op de krimp, gewerkt in scholengroepen. Daarmee werken we gericht aan de kwaliteit van het onderwijs en versterken we kleine teams. Samenwerken, expertise delen en ruimte bieden voor permanente reflectie en ontwikkeling van vaardigheden zijn daarbij belangrijke aspecten om ons 'veelbelovend' onderwijs vorm te geven.
