Een toezichthouder die vanuit artistieke en programmatische expertise kan bijdragen aan de verdere ontwikkeling en positionering van Brutus en tegelijkertijd de volle breedte van de toezichthoudende verantwoordelijkheid kan dragen. De benoeming vindt plaats op een belangrijk moment voor Brutus. De organisatie bevindt zich in een nieuwe fase van ontwikkeling en staat aan de vooravond van de voorbereiding van een nieuwe cultuurplanaanvraag. De komende jaren staan daarmee in het teken van het verder aanscherpen van de artistieke koers, het versterken van de organisatie en het duurzaam positioneren van Brutus binnen het culturele veld en de stad Rotterdam. De Raad van Toezicht De Raad van Toezicht bestaat uit leden met verschillende achtergronden en complementaire expertise. Emily Ansenk is voorzitter van de Raad van Toezicht. Lex Geerdes brengt in het bijzonder financiële expertise in en Jacob Henriquez juridische expertise. Met de werving van een nieuw lid wil Brutus de artistiek-inhoudelijke en programmatische expertise binnen de Raad verder versterken. Brutus hecht daarbij aan een Raad van Toezicht waarin verschillende perspectieven, achtergronden en ervaringen vertegenwoordigd zijn. We streven naar een samenstelling die recht doet aan de diversiteit van de stad en samenleving waarin Brutus opereert en aan de verscheidenheid van kunstenaars, makers en publieksgroepen waarmee we werken. Bij de werving kijken we daarom, naast de gevraagde inhoudelijke expertise, nadrukkelijk naar kandidaten die vanuit hun achtergrond, perspectief, ervaring en netwerk kunnen bijdragen aan een brede en diverse samenstelling van de Raad.
