Alles onder één dak. Star-shl werkt nauw samen met meer dan 2.500 aanvragers in de eerstelijnszorg en vrijwel alle ziekenhuizen in de regio. Met 16 diagnostische centra en bijna 250 bloedafnamelocaties altijd dichtbij. De organisatie voert beeldvormend en functieonderzoek, zoals röntgenfoto's, echo's en hart- en longfunctietests, en laboratoriumdiagnostiek uit. Ondersteunt de eerstelijnszorg met praktijkondersteuning. Hun trombosedienst begeleidt jaarlijks meer dan 20.000 patiënten bij het gebruik van antistollingsmiddelen. Uniek in Nederland is het geavanceerde laboratorium in Rotterdam, waar met vergaande automatisering en robotisering jaarlijks ruim 12 miljoen bepalingen worden uitgevoerd op meer dan 3,5 miljoen bloedbuisjes. De functie De Raad van Toezicht 5 leden) ziet toe op het gevoerde beleid van de organisatie. De RvT benoemt de Raad van Bestuur en adviseert de Raad van Bestuur bij de beleidsvorming en uitvoering van zijn taken.
