The posting

Voor onze klant, een internationale en vooraanstaande speler binnen de voedings- en grondstoffenlogistiek, zijn we op zoek naar een Logistics & Expedition Leader. In deze leidinggevende spilfunctie ben je verantwoordelijk voor het aansturen, coördineren en optimaliseren van alle logistieke activiteiten en goederenstromen op de terminal in de Gentse haven. Je combineert inspirerend peoplemanagement met operationele opvolging, kostenbeheer, leveranciersonderhandelingen en procesoptimalisatie.

Jouw takenpakket:

  • Organiseren en coördineren van alle logistieke operaties (opslag, transfers, goederenontvangst, laden/lossen van vrachtwagens, expeditie en douaneformaliteiten)
  • Aan sturen, coachen en motiveren van het logistieke team met speciale aandacht voor veiligheid, kwaliteit en milieuzorg (GMP, ISO 9000, ISO 14000)
  • Onderhandelen over vrachtkosten (land en zee), externe opslag en gerelateerde logistieke diensten met derden
  • Beheren van de relaties met externe dienstverleners en actief ondersteunen van interne en externe audits
  • Nauw samenwerken met het Sales- en Customer Serviceteam om klantenleveringen efficiënt en tijdig in te plannen
  • Participeren in de planning en sturing van de wereldwijde en lokale supplychainprocessen (bulk en verpakte goederen)
  • Opstellen, opvolgen en bijsturen van het logistieke budget en continue initiatieven nemen voor kostenreductie en procesverbetering
  • Fungeren als centraal aanspreekpunt voor internationale stakeholders en diverse interne afdelingen (Operations, Engineering, HSE, Quality, Finance)
  • Je beschikt over een masterdiploma (of gelijkwaardig denkniveau), bij voorkeur in Logistiek, Supply Chain of Bedrijfskunde
  • Je hebt minimaal 2 jaar ervaring in een leidinggevende of coördinerende logistieke functie, bij voorkeur in een haven-, terminal- of industriële omgeving
  • Je communiceert vloeiend in het Nederlands en het Engels (zowel mondeling als schriftelijk)
  • Je beschikt over een goede kennis van SAP en MS Office, evenals inzicht in logistieke processen en douaneformaliteiten
  • Je bent een sterke peoplemanager, analytisch onderlegd, organisatorisch en doortastend in het nemen van beslissingen
